Article VIII: Global Council.

Delegates to the Global Council shall be selected to represent ARC Members. Nominations and elections will be conducted in accordance with Article VII above. The number of Global Council Delegates elected will be determined by the Delegate Allocation Formula as per Section VI of Membership and Governance Protocols for the Global Council, and calculated each December by the Global Council staff. The Nominating Committee will endeavor to ensure that the slate of Global Council candidates is representative of the diversity of library types within ARC, and will ensure that geographic distribution is maintained, with the following minimums: · 3 delegates from Canada · 12 delegates from U.S. · 2 delegates from Latin America/Caribbean · 2 delegates from museums, archives, historical societies, or other cultural heritage institutions Member Delegates to the Global Council shall serve a three-year term.
